Did you see what the Head Boy wrote?

If you haven't, you should take a break from revising (cos I'm sure you are!) and go read it and have a laugh!

I mean, great Merlin, I think I'd die before I talked to a Prefect about anything like That!

Parvati and I are trying to work on our Charms essays, but we keep getting fits of the giggles just thinking about it.

His announcement's only the half of it! There've been a load of boys who've decided to make sure Clearwater knows what a prat her boyfriend is. They've been following her for two days asking her for details out of the pamphlets and whether she'd like to practise, or wondering whether she and Weasley really pay any attention to Parts of You No One Else Should Touch or just use it for ideas. She nearly hexed the face off Lares Tamblyn when he asked her if Weasley ever kisses her for real or if they just talk about what they oughtn't be doing! I guess Clearwater's well cross with Weasley herself, too. I heard Anderson telling Laverty that Clearwater was whinging because she told Weasley she was having a time of it and he sort of didn't come to her defence.

I think she'd rather like to break up with him, only she thinks he's got wonderful 'prospects' and doesn't want to give that up. I guess she figures her own 'prospects' aren't terribly good. (And no wonder! Do you think she ever does anything with her hair? And a bit of rouge or gloss would do wonders, I think.)

Percy does seem to have the right ideas, but sweet Morgana, he can be stuffy! He probably takes an age to say 'I love you' and throws about fourteen big words in.

I just had a perfectly awful thought--do you suppose he writes her poetry?

Revolting!

I dunno, sometimes Weasley is tolerable, but mostly he just puffs himself up so much it's disgusting. I mean, even that time when he came down on Perks, when he ought to have been agreeable about it all, he was so perfectly officious it was impossible to like him even then.

The one thing he really seems good at is making himself useful to people who are more powerful than he is, like the Headmistress or Mr Malfoy.
