Back into the routine
Apr. 16th, 2013 03:42 pmLessons have definitely got going in earnest! Divination was brilliant as always--I really am lucky to have Professor Carpenter as a teacher and mentor.
But I've had to change robes twice today--I took a wrong turn in Greenhouse Three and got pulled to the ground by some Venomous Tentaculae before I managed to escape, and then at lunch Bones spilt mustard on me while he was mooning (hopelessly, I might add) over Honoria Sandoval.
At least I'd time to go back to the Tower before Noble Arts, but as soon as I got changed I was beseiged by stomach-achy first years. Apparently Healer Kerr sent them off, and I can't give them tea or anything because that would be against the rules, so I just told them to drink some water and go lie down until dinner.
Thoroughly trying! I was hoping to have time to go over my Noble Arts notes, but now I've got to rush off.

Various Items
Feb. 9th, 2013 09:15 amI'm afraid I've been a bit remiss in my public posting recently, but really, it's very difficult to know what to say about January.
Such a cold and generally uninspiring month--hols are over and exams start to seem all too real. And everything's just grey.
I will say that Parvati's and my fashion night with the younger years went well! Thanks again, Professor Carpenter for supporting us and sharing your time.
Mrs. Patil, the sample robes you lent us were a real sensation; I know you already know this, but pink is definitely the new black this season. Though I would advise all of our younger fashionistas not to go overboard; too much of a new trend looks simply gauche.
And now it's February--still a cold, greyish month--but it has Valentine's Day, which I simply adore! It's a day to celebrate friendship, show admiration, and play the game of love.
Play on, I say! Especially today, when we all have opportunities to spend time together somewhere that isn't this draughty castle.
