Do either of you have any idea what in the name of Merlin is going on? Alexa Bawsley just came running back into our Common Room in tears. Which wouldn't be out of the ordinary--except that she was shouting something about MLE Enforcers in the corridors and how she swears she's loyal to Our Lord.

And to put the cherry on it all: I let her go out to see Matron even though it would normally be past her curfew and Madame Pomfrey wasn't even there! Perks was hanging about and gave Bawsley something at least. But this will probably set her back just when I thought she was starting to grow up a bit and be less of a wet blanket.

Thanks! Normally I'd speak to Professor Sandoval-Pennifold but I don't want to bother her in case Bawsley's got the wrong end of the wand and it's something trivial.

Professor S-P hasn't been in the best of humour tonight.

He would like everyone to go to their dormitories and keep out of the way, he says. I shall pass the word to that effect immediately.

That I can do. But ugh--Bawsley's managed to get some of the more excitable younger ones going.

I'm going to be up to my ears all night in firsties having nightmares and wanting their mums and dramatic second year girls throwing wobblers.
