I don't know when you'll see this, as you're in the Hospital Wing, but...
I'm sorry to hear that you've been hurt; of course no-one seems to know anything for certain, but the rumour going 'round is that Coty and Henri Toubon put you there with a really dreadful hex.
If it was Toubon, well, I'm dreadfully sorry and feel a bit responsible. We, er, quarrelled the night of the Ball and he went off in a positively foul mood. It sounds as though he may have taken it out on you.
You've been nothing but friendly and gentleman-like to all of us here and I certainly wish you the best for a quick recovery.
