The part about contacting someone who has a career you're interested in sounds sort of nift, actually; I could always talk to your mum about fashion, after all.

But I must say I'm not excited about the idea of a three-week survival course; yes, I know our world can be dangerous and all, and Defence is important, but it's not as if we're all planning to be Aurors or joining MLE.

And to make that a condition of going on YPL! I suppose I'll apply anyhow, because I certainly don't want to be left out, but I honestly can't see how I'll use that sort of thing in my future career.

I know! I've been thinking about it all day. I could always write to Lana but I don't think I really fancy going into the Aurors. I really wanted to be a Potioneer when I was little. I'm not so sure. Of course, Parkinson knows people at the Guild and she's been pleasant enough lately, I might ask her who the best person to write is. I suppose it doesn't much matter as long as we pick someone and something appropriate. Especially as Professor Sinistra's going to read them as well.

And I think I can understand why they want us to be fit, too. I mean, no one wants people about who are fat or weak, do they? I'm not much for it, either, but if Sandoval can do it for the Aurors, I reckon we can do it for the YPL. It's important, right?

You're right, it is for a good cause, but still, don't you think they'll favor people who really want to take Auror training or go into MLE over people who don't?
